Glossary
The words Drop Zone uses, in plain language. If a word on any page is not here,
tell us and we will add it or stop using it.
Floor
The lowest price Drop Zone's automation will list, reprice, accept or negotiate at for a card. It is worked out per card from the cost and margin you enter. You can raise any card's floor; the automation has no setting that lowers it.
Floor Guarantee
If our automation sells or lists a card below your floor, we refund the difference. It applies to Store Operator plans while your store is running fully automated, and not to bundles, auctions, Consignment & Clearance, or cards you released or overrode. The conditions are in the Terms, section 6.
Comp (comparable sale)
A recent sold price for the same card: same player, set, year, card number and the same parallel or serial. A comp is the evidence behind a price. If there is no comp for a card, Drop Zone does not change its price.
Parallel
A variant of a base card printed in a different colour or finish (Silver Prizm, Gold Refractor, and so on). Parallels sell for different prices, so a comp from the wrong parallel is not a comp.
Serial number (numbered card)
A print-run stamp such as 12/99 on a card. The second number says how many exist, which usually sets the price, so it has to be read exactly.
Read
One AI identification of a card from your photos at intake. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of reads, and the free trial has its own. Extra reads come in packs of 500 for $14.99, and pack reads never expire.
Journal
The log of everything Drop Zone did or refused to do on your store: what, when, why, the state before, and how to put it back. Price changes can be undone from it.
Vault
A PIN-protected set of cards that automation never touches: no repricing, offers, listing refreshes or bundling. Taking a card out of the Vault needs your PIN.
Best Offer thresholds
The auto-accept and auto-decline prices on a listing. Auto-accept is never set below your floor. On a listing already at its floor we set neither, so every offer comes to you.
Suggest, Ask me, Autopilot
The three settings for each area of automation (pricing, offers, and so on). Suggest shows findings and runs nothing. Ask me runs a move only after you approve it, and is where every area starts. Autopilot runs on its own inside your floor and is available on Store Operator plans.
Run my store
The master switch on the Automation page for Store Operator plans. It is off until you turn it on, and an area only runs unattended when this switch is on and the area is set to Autopilot. One switch pauses everything at any time.
Needs your review
A card held back at intake because the photo check was not sure about something (the card number, the parallel, which side is the front). It is not listed until you confirm or correct it.
Ending a listing
Taking a listing off eBay. A new listing starts over without the old one's history, which is why Drop Zone revises listings instead and rate-limits ending.
