THE FLYOVER HEAT WEEKLY
Sep 19 – Sep 26, 2026
Sports card market intelligence from the Flyover Heat store — hot players, market-moving injuries, accolades, trades, and what's selling.
Every card you see here was photographed, identified, priced against live market comps and listed by Drop Zone Cards, our own card automation — the same system reads the week's sports news to build this newsletter. If you sell cards yourself and the listing grind is what's stopping you scaling, that's exactly what we built it for.
🗞️ THE HOBBY DESK — WHAT'S MOVING THE MARKET
*The week across the hobby. Sourced from public reporting — every item links to verify.*
- Week 2 in the NFL moved football cards harder than any release did. Jaxson Dart is likely headed for season-ending knee surgery, and Jayden Daniels dislocated his elbow again, the third time in ten months, with four to five weeks out; his rookie Silver Prizm PSA 10 had already slid from the $800-900 range to about $570 before this week. The other side of the ledger: Brock Purdy's cards are up roughly 15% since June, and Tyler Shough's market has run hot since camp with a soft NFC South in front of him. Quarterback cards price the next snap, not last season, so if you are holding an injured QB's rookies, this is the market pricing the risk in real time. — per Sports Illustrated
