THE FLYOVER HEAT WEEKLY

Sep 07 – Sep 14, 2026

Sports card market intelligence from the Flyover Heat store — hot players, market-moving injuries, accolades, trades, and what's selling.

Every card you see here was photographed, identified, priced against live market comps and listed by Drop Zone Cards, our own card automation — the same system reads the week's sports news to build this newsletter. If you sell cards yourself and the listing grind is what's stopping you scaling, that's exactly what we built it for.

🗞️ THE HOBBY DESK — WHAT'S MOVING THE MARKET

*The week across the hobby. Sourced from public reporting — every item links to verify.*

• PSA opens a new Standard tier on Sept 14: $59.99 a card, 90 to 100 business days, $1,000 max declared value — and it queues behind the Value and Bulk orders already in the building. The Value levels most collectors actually used, $24.99 Bulk through $64.99 Max, stay paused until the backlog falls from 9.9 million cards to 5 million, so the cheapest door open right now costs more than three of the four tiers it isn't replacing. Express also went $149 to $199. Before you box up a stack: at $59.99 and a four-to-five-month wait, the fee and the calendar are most of the argument on anything but a genuinely valuable card. — per Sports Illustrated
